Armored vehicle made by two brothers in Ekiti

Name the industry, Ekiti indigenes no dey carry last.

Two sons of late High Chief Joe Oluware Obasa (a car distributor for Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN), High Chief Johnson Obasa and Victor Obasa, made an armored vehicle right in Ekiti state, called Tekowi.

Obasa Specialty Vehicle (OSV), a Local automobile company situated in Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State, unveiled the armored vehicle named Tekowi.

According to report from the company, the vehicle was manufactured at OSV factory in Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Tekowi was coined from “te oko wi,” an Ekiti local dialect which means sandals or boots that farmers and hunters wear regularly to the bush to stamp on anything. Tekowi is a combination of ruggedness and luxury.
